Wednesday Wonders-April is Poetry Month

On April 25 at12:30 local author and poet, Sandra L Hutchison, will perform a poetry reading and share her experiences as a poet.  Sandra is the author of a book of poetry, The Art of Nesting, and a memoir about living in China during the Tiananmen Uprising, Chinese Brushstrokes.  Her poetry, stories, essays and reviews have appeared in a wide variety of publications, including the Oxford anthology of stories about China, Chinese Ink, Western Pen.

March 24- Get "Uke Inspired"

This one-day workshop from 10 am to 1:30 p.m. in the Orono Public Library Community Room will begin with a showing of the documentary "The Mighty Uke" and then will introduce students, both parents and children, to the Ukelele.  Appropriate for ages 10 and up; you're welcome to bring your own ukelele or try one provided by the instructor or the library.  Please call 866-5060 to register.  Space is limited.  Sponsored by the Orono Public Library and RSU 26 Adult and Community Education.

Wednesday Wonders: Heart Health

The next Wednesday Wonders will be held at the library on February 29 @ 12:30pm with the topic of Heart Health.
